 The University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna is one of the oldest and best renowned business universities in Europe and holds a prominent place in the faculty rankings among more than 120 German speaking business universities. It is also one of the largest, with approximately 450 permanent faculty members and more than 20,000 students. It offers a broad range of specialisations and covers all important fields of Business Administration. Besides the degrees in Business Administration and Economics, the University offers doctoral studies and an International MBA in co-operation with the University of South Carolina. The Department of General Management and Management Control possesses a leading expertise in the fields of Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management and Organisational Analysis which have been applied in quite a number of international research co-operations. The G.E.M. project offers to the University of Wien the opportunity to strengthen such relations and co-operations in a domain which has a high industrial relevance and a strategic importance for the EU labour market. |
